Der Elbenschlächter by Jens Lossau and Jens Schumacher.
So this is a fantasy story about elven hookers being killed and two fearless men (well...you know, one is a man in a boy's body and the other a troll...so) try to solve why and by who. There is magic and crude humour and also great world-building. I enjoyed this book a lot. I think I finished it in two days.
Kamikaze boys by Jay Bell.
Gay romance, young adult. Reading this book was a bit like re-watching the last episode of season one of Queer as folk. You just wait for the disaster to happen. Boy meets boy, boy falls in love with boy, boy does something really stupid because the boyfriend is being bullied. Still, I liked it, probably because reading about happy and sane people is boring and because I don't know any sane people anyway... :)
English version only (as far as I can tell).
Hush 1&2 by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee.
This is a graphic novel. Still counts, because I spent hours reading it. So, if you never picked up a Batman comic in your life, this one is the one for you. It tells you everything you'll need to know and is a good read on top of it. I might be biased because Batman is my favourite, but you should really give it a try.
English and German.
Okay, and next month I'm going to do the gay-romance thing.
